Overview

Sickness absence costs British industry billions of pounds each year. Sickness absence is increasing and GPs now openly admit they ‘sign people off' who they know are not genuinely ill just to get them out of the surgery.

This workshop covers how to manage sickness absence to support individuals who are genuinely chronically or seriously ill and also how to reduce absence that is not genuine sick leave.
